Hi, I’m Tom Yousif and together with my wife Marlyen, we are the operators of G.J. Gardner Homes Camden. We’ve created a name for ourselves in several construction trades including bricklaying, scaffolding, and operating as a licensed builder for decades.
Backed with many years of experience, the strength of G.J. Gardner, and building on great systems and reputation, we’re eager to escalate our building journey in creating quality homes for the community of Camden. As locals to the area and parents to four children – Annabelle, Noah, Liam and James, we are excited for the future of Camden.
There is a lot of development currently underway in the region that makes it a great place to build. It is a nice area with many restaurants, a big and growing city, as well as broader areas including new estates. Camden is a great opportunity for families with new schools, development areas, and sporting complexes being built.

Can I get the first home owner’s grant?
Cash is almost always a consideration when buying your own home for the first time. To help first-time buyers purchase a property, Australian state governments offer similar variations of a first home owners’ grant, when the correct circumstances are met. Depending on which state you are building in, this grant can range between $7,000 to $20,000. The grant is available when purchasing a new-build property, or on the cost of building a new home. The process of building with GJ Gardner was so much easier than I thought it would be. We were dealing with people that were friendly and caring about our situation. They were very good at their job and any changes to the plans were no problem. The workmanship is fantastic and we were able to use some local tradies which we appreciated. We nearly feel guilty as to how easy our build was.
We’ve been living in our G.J. Gardner home for about a month now and it’s fantastic. Our scheduled completion date has only just passed so it finished about a month ahead. The whole team to deal with were fantastic. We were sent updates on the house weekly (or whenever there was an update) and nothing we asked for or about was too much trouble. We always thought building would be stressful, but the G.J. team made the process a breeze. Big thanks to the team for our beautiful family home.
The whole process was smooth and stress free from start to finish. Quality products and quality service. Any complications were solved quickly with a friendly chat and without issue. Change of mind or ideas were easy and staff offered small changes which has made all the difference. Final cost was nearly spot on!
